It was this very time last year that I had a positive pregnancy test in my hand and tried to find the words to tell my husband. Both of us wanted children someday, but never thought it would be so soon! Nine months later, we were holding our beautiful boy and knew that he was the most precious gift we had ever received.
Last year if you told me I'd be cloth diapering, I'd call you crazy! If you told me I'd be constantly checking my son for signs of breathing during naps, I'd think you a liar! If you told me I'd be breastfeeding for hours every day, I'd bet you were exaggerating! But parenting is one of those challenges that makes you stop and really think about who you are and how you live. Today I could not live without my gDiapers! Every time my son doses off, I sneak over and check that his stomach is moving. I spend a good portion of everyday just holding and feeding my little boy. I love every minute of my life as a new mom and I wouldn't change a thing!
I am twenty-four, happily married, and a first time mom to a beautiful little boy! I try not to go by the books too much, but I'd say my parenting style is closest to-- but not quite-- attachment parenting. I'm a natural mommy and love it!
